  Sunday Dare Bags 'NUJ  Lifetime Achievement Awards': Chief Sunday Dare CON FNIS, will be honored with 'NUJ  Lifetime Achievement Award', on Thursday 19th October 2023. The award will be presented to the immediate past Minister of Sports and Youth Development, at the NUJ  Family/Veterans' Day Event to be held  at Dapo Aderogba Hall, Press Centre Iyaganku Ibadan. This is part of the activities scheduled to mark the 2023 Press Week of the Nigeria Union of Journalist, from 15th through to 27th October 2023.   OGUN FA COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT OGUN FA Pre Season Tournament Gets Kick Off Date The Ogun State Football Association says arrangements are in top gear to stage a Pre season tournament for clubs plying their trade in the Nigeria National League (NNL), and those playing in the Nation-Wide League (NLO). According to the tournament's itinerary, it will kick off on October 9, 2023 in all four zones in the Gateway state. According to the State Football governing body, the tournament is to aid preparation of the teams ahead of the 2023/2024 season of the Nigeria National League and the Nigeria Nation-Wide League. Non League clubs can also take part in the season build up tournament by paying the mandatory registration fee. Press Conference and the draw ceremony will herald the commencement of the tournament which is projected to have at least thirty teams in attendance.

SPORTS MINISTER TEES OFF AT THE INDEPENDENCE GOLF TOURNAMENT The Honourable Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh was among golfers who teed off at the grand finale of the Independence Golf Tournament organized by the IBB International Golf and Country Club, Abuja today 1st October 2023. With over 500 registered golfers,comprising Nigerians alongside their Ghanaian, Cameroonian and Ugandan counterparts, the competition is a tournament of global repute. The Minister was received by the Captain of the IBB international Golf Country Club, Banjo Obaleye ,in the company of other members of the club.
