IMC To Auwal: You Are A Shameless Man

The Interim Management Committee (IMC) has confirmed the man whose picture was seen all over social media urinating at the centre of the Lekan Salami stadium as Auwal Muhammed.


He is working in the official capacity of Shooting Stars Sports Club as the team's camp commandant officer.


The incidents occurred last weekend before the NPFL match between Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) against Akwa United.


Awal whose behaviour was described as despicable has been suspended by the Interim Management Committee IMC.


The IMC stated that Awal's behaviour is capable of bringing the league into disrepute thus violating some sections of the NPFL rule book. 


Auwal Mohammed has been given a year's suspension from NPFL- related activities with immediate effect. 


Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC were also charged with violations of Rule C9 of the framework work for failure to control the conduct of their officials which resulted in a fine of five hundred thousand naira. 


Both Auwal Mohammed and 3SC however have 48 hours to appeal the decision as stipulated by the law.
