The second edition of the NCF Women's competition will be hosted in Lagos and Rwanda will be defending their NCF T20 Women's Trophy against formidable foes.
The President of the Nigeria Cricket Federation, Uyi Akpata says everything is well set for the competition to be hosted in Lagos from March 19th- 26th.
"This year's edition will have all the teams which participated in 2022 with the exception of Cameroon who are the only debutant".
Akpata stated that world class facilities have been provided for the competition.
"We have world-class facilities across the country and have a successful talent-recruitment program as well.
He declared that the NCF Women’s T20 International is one of the avenues to showcase, groom and maximise the use of those facilities.
He stated further that the NCF actually planned to host the tournament last year.
"The plans have been in place since last year but this year is better".he added.
Rwanda beat Nigeria by 52 runs at the Tafawa Balewa Cricket Square Oval in Lagos on Sunday, April, 2022 to win the maiden edition of the competition.
