The spirited display by Super Falcons of Nigeria wasn't enough to earn the team a point at the ongoing "Revelation Cup 2023" as the Nigerian side lost narrowly to the rampaging Mexican national female team.

Kiana Palacios scored the winning goal to give the host a perfect start to the tournament.

According to pundits, not the best of selection coming from the Super Falcons gaffer but the team held on before the bubbles burst in the 84th minute.

The Falcons will have another opportunity to get back on track in their second game against Colombia on the 18th.

Meanwhile Costa Rica and Colombia battled to a one all draw in the other game, leaving Nigeria rooted at the bottom of the table.
