NBBF President Visits D'tigers Training Camp, Assures Of Better Preparations Ahead Of The FIBA World Cup.

President of Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), Mallam Musa Kida has assured the D'tigers of Nigeria of necessary support as the team continues its build-up towards the world cup qualification games.


In a show of support and solidarity the soft spoken NBBF President visited the D’Tigers’ training at the indoor sport hall of the national stadium package B in Abuja.


Kida stated that all hope is not lost yet as the NBBF board is doing everything possible to ensure a better outing for the nation. 


The FIBA World Cup qualifiers billed for Luanda, Angola is the last window and opportunity for the D'tigers to sneak into the world cup.


Nineteen home-based players and two foreign-based pros make up the list for the qualifiers.


They have been in camp for the World Cup qualifiers, which will be held from February 24 to 26, 2023 and the camp will run till 21st at the indoor sports hall of the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja.


D’Tigers will take on Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea and Angola in the qualifiers.


Five spots are up for grabs from the African qualifiers to the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Japan Invitational Tournament: Future Eagles to reopen camp in Abuja with 25 players The Future Eagles will resume camping in Abuja on Friday (19/05/2023) ahead of the Dream Cup invitational tournament in Japan. Coach Haruna Ilerika has already extended invitations to 25 players ahead of the tournament. All the invited players have been told to report at the Serob Hotel, Abuja.
