Benue Govt Hands Over Aper Aku and Makati Stadium to Monimichelle Sports Company



The Profile of Monimichelle Sports Facility Construction Ltd soared as the Yenagoa Based Company won the bid ahead of over 12 Local and International Companies for the Renovation of the Aper Aku and the Makati Stadium in Markudi, Benue State.


 The Benue State Commissioner for Sports Development Commissioner Hon. Barr. Teiyima Ngihei when speaking to newsmen at the handover ceremony of the Stadium facility to the contractor stated the the pedigree of Monimichelle Sports superceded that of others hence the choice of the Monimichelle Sports to handle the job.


 Earlier, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Sports Development John Ayila Akume noted the for the old pitch to have lasted about 15 years, it only shows the quality of work done by Monimichelle Sports despite lack of maintenance that resulted in the delapidation of the field.


 The Chairman of Lobi Stars of Markudi and Former Super Eagles Player Dominic iorfa thanked the Benue State Governor His Excellence Samuel Ortom for giving the approval and releasing of funds for both the Renovation of Aper Aku and the Makati Stadia despite having only less than three months in office.


  On his part, Mr Ebi Egbe MD/CEO of Monimichelle Sports Facility Construction Ltd thanked the Benue State Governor His Excellence Samuel Ortom and the Government of the State for finding his company worthy of the Renovation work having seen the quality of the previous work done some 15 years ago.


  The FIFA Licensed Match Agent also promised to deliver on the job provided the funds are made available as to mobilize to site immediately as the dream of every Benue citizens and fans of Lobi Stars is to see their darling team return back to Markudi.


 Monimichelle Sports Facility Construction Ltd has been able to install 21st quality football playing surface in Nigeria and the Sub-Saharan Africa with works completed at the following Stadium: Enyimba International Stadium in Aba, Muhammudu Dikko Stadium in Katsina, Mobolaji Johnson Arena (Fomer Onikan Stadium) in Lagos, Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne,Ogun State, Akwa City Stadium in Anambra and many others.
