CAF Snubs Nigeria Legends As The Football Body Offers Media Opportunity To Meet Past Heroes

The Confederation of African Football Federation is offering Media houses the opportunity to meet African Legends on Thursday at Cairo International Stadium however no Nigerian legends were considered for the event. 


According to news gathered by Apexmedia2020.blogspot.com CAF is offering a media opportunity with some of Africa's legends ahead of the quarterfinals of the TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2023 without a legend from a nation that had won the age grade competition multiple times. 


Caf stated that the event will take place before knockout game between Senegal against Benin Republic. 


The Invited Legends are:


Nader El Sayed, Egypt: Former player of the U-17 and U-20 teams of Egypt, with more than 100 caps for the senior team. Former goalkeeper of Zamalek SC, FC Bruges, Al Masry, Al Ahly SC, among others. 


Jimmy Adjovi-Boco, Benin: Former defender of RC Lens (France) and Benin. Director of the Diambars Training Center and advisor to the Minister of Sports of Benin. 


Pape Thiaw, Senegal: Former player of Teranga Lions and Member of the 2002 Senegal team, winner of the TotalEnergies CHAN 2022 as a coach, and member of TSG of TotalEnergies U20 AFCON 2023.

Japan Invitational Tournament: Future Eagles to reopen camp in Abuja with 25 players The Future Eagles will resume camping in Abuja on Friday (19/05/2023) ahead of the Dream Cup invitational tournament in Japan. Coach Haruna Ilerika has already extended invitations to 25 players ahead of the tournament. All the invited players have been told to report at the Serob Hotel, Abuja.
