Paul Acquah bagged a hattrick for Rivers United in CAF Confederation cup group stage match-day four that was played at the prestigious Godswill Akapabio International stadium in Uyo, to herald a victory against Motema Pembe FC of Congo who managed to score but once.
The match was keenly contested but Nigeria representative cemented their superiority after winning the first leg by a lone goal in Congo with mesmerising performance which saw Acquah scoring four goals in total.
However, Rivers United who currently have nine points from four matches need to block technical loopholes for the remaining two matches in the group stage.
The Nigerian champions will have an uphill task contending against some North African clubs if they are paired together in the knockout stage.
