Future Eagles To Open Camp In April Ahead Of An Invitational Tournament In Japan

The Future Eagles of Nigeria are expected to start camping for an Invitational tournament in Japan this May.


Apexmedia2020.blogspot.com can report that the Nigeria's U-15 male national team (The Future Eagles) will start training camp on April 4th ahead of the Japan Dream Cup tourney. 


The Future Eagles will be gathering again for the first time in four years, after attending the last African Youth Games at Algeria in 2019.


The team will prepare for this year's edition of U16 International Dream Cup tournament which will  be held from April 29th to 4th of May 2023 in Japan. 


Nigeria will compete for honours in the tournament alongside the host country Japan and two other countries.


Nigeria last participated in the tournament 4 years ago with a win over Mexico 3-1 but lost against the host country Japan 4-1 and against Romania 3-1 on the last day of the tournament.


Japan emerged champions of the 2019,  U16 International Dream Cup tournament after defeating Mexico 5-0 in the final.


Japan finished top with nine points, while Romania finished second, Nigeria were third with three points and Mexico finished bottom of the championship with only one point.
