As Nigeria’s U23 boys failed to take advantage of home soil and finished their U23 Africa Cup of Nations final qualifying fixture, first leg match against Guinea 0-0 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
Gulf United top striker, Mike Gbajie has called on the nation's Olympic football team not to despair with the scoreless result against their opponent.
In a chat with Apexmedia2020.blogspot.com the German born Nigerian striker is optimistic that the boys will get the job done.
"The never say die spirit of Nigeria can propel the team to victory, I believe that the coaches will do more to improve the ability of every player".
Speaking on his availability to help the team, 17 goal hero with Gulf United says he will help the team if called upon.
"In the last 2 seasons I have scored important goals for my team both in German and in UAE and I am willing to sacrifice everything to see Nigeria qualify for the Olympic".
He stated further that his club is willing to make him available for the second leg if called upon.
"I have told my club that my country is important to me and they are happily waiting for me to get my first call up".
