Lagos State Football Association Boss, Seyi Akinwunmi Congratulates Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu On His Re-election

Chairman Lagos State Football Association, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi has congratulated the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on his reelection for a second term in office.


Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi said that Sanwo-Olu’s re-election was well deserved because of his proven capacity to lead the state to new heights in all spheres including sports. 


In congratulating the Governor, he said, "On behalf of the board of the Lagos State Football Association and the entire Lagos State football family, we congratulate Mr. Governor on your reelection as the Governor of our dear state and we wish you a glorious four years ahead".


Barrister Akinwunmi believes that Sanwo-Olu’s government will continue to contribute to the diversity of Lagos state which makes it the pride of our country.


He continued,  "You have our support and our collective resolve to continue to build a formidable football ecosystem to engage our teeming youth, create employment and help actualise our dream for a better  Lagos and continue to enhance the State's diversity which makes it the pride of our country ".


While thanking the governor for his facilitation of a level playing field, his hosting of the various National teams , international tournaments and his unalloyed support for Football in the previous four years, the Lagos State Football Association Boss opined that Lagos will continue to be the hub for sports development and for the business of football under the continued leadership of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s.   


He assured even greater synergy between the Association and Lagos State Sports Commission in the next four and concluded by saying that "this is an excellent time to reflect on what we have achieved so far as a people bound by common values and ideals, and time to look ahead to what still needs to be done, as we continue to work together for the success of Lagos in  the sphere of sports, youth development and youth engagement".
