Former Super Falcons Invitee Evelyn Ijeh has described her call up to the Swedish senior women's national team as a break-through.

"Being called up came like a surprise, but I was really happy and excited for getting the opportunity"

The Nigerian born Swedish striker says she hopes to break through to the Swedish main senior team.

"Breaking into the senior team won’t be easy, however If the opportunity is given I will surely take it".

She narrated the challenges she faced so far in the Swedish league.

"I would say there are more skilled individual players and the tempo is obviously higher".

She told Apexmedia2020.blogspot.com that last season was one of her best as she banged in 22 goals in 25 appearances.

"I would rate last season's performance really high because it was a really great season both for me and the team".

The daughter of Peter Ijeh, the former Super Eagles International sees her club among the top six in the Swedish league.

"This coming season will of course be a challenge, but our determination is to be in the top 6 in the table".

Evelyn is still hopeful that one day she will extend her playing career to some top clubs across Europe.

"I think there are numerous clubs that are attractive, and I see myself playing in one of them in some years to come".

NPFL - STARTIMES DEAL: MALLAM SHUAIBU GARA GOMBE MISLEADING THE SPORTS INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA

NPFL - STARTIMES DEAL: MALLAM SHUAIBU GARA GOMBE MISLEADING THE SPORTS INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA My attention is seriously drawn to the fact that Mallam Gara Gombe clearly shows in his recent submission to the Guardian that he has ill interests and it isn't only about fighting for the interest of local football but also trying to show that he deserves to be the one leading Nigerian football through his open statements against the NPFL leadership he referred to as illegitimate in one of his recent releases. Remember, "what is good for the goose is also good for the garner." It is a fact he desires to get to the top of football leadership in Nigeria and he might feel at this point he alone has the monopoly of football administrative knowledge. Wouldn't you expect others to deliberately begin to employ similar tactics to topple your leadership too?  Gara Gombe said; quote: "Because Nigeria is a dumping ground you illegally appoint people to manage a league they know nothi...
