Paul E U17 Cup Draws Hold 10 April




Tournament Refereeing Seminar holds 13 April 


The organizers of the Paul E U17 Cup have fixed Monday 10 April 2023 as the  date for the draws of football tournament, which has been described as the flagship among the age grade tournaments in the country.


Announcing this at the weekend, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee Patrick Ngwaogu said draws will be virtually to ensure that all the participating teams are involved in it.


Quoting to his words, Ngwaogu said , "We want to ensure a high level of transparency in the Organization of the tournament. We want all the teams to be part of the draws, so we are doing it virtually. This will be through zoom. The teams will be grouped into 4 of 4 teams each. 2 teams is expected to  qualify for the quarter finals".


The former Sporting Director of Abia Warriors FC further revealed that the participating teams will have the opportunity of attending a Refereeing Seminar on the recent trends in the laws of the game, which will be held on 13 April before the commencement of the tournament on the 14 April "

The Paul E U17 Cup will run from 14th to 24th April in Abuja. 16 teams are participating in the tournament.

  Akinkunle Bolarinwa  Executive Board Member of the Ondo State Football Association, Dr. Babatunde 'Tee' Akinbinu has advised State Football Associations Chairmen in Nigeria to borrow the template for football development exemplified by Ekiti State Football Association in the last three and half years.
