Post AFCON U20: Senegal Were Far Serious Than Nigeria  - Ettah Egbe Blast

Ex Super Eagles Goalkeeper, Ettah Egbe is convinced that Nigeria were never serious about winning the AFCON U20 tournament in Egypt due to the short time preparations adopted by the nation's football body.


Ettah Egbe noted that the AFCON U20 champions, Senegal, had better preparations than Nigeria.


"Do you know how many years it took Senegal to prepare this team, from under 15 to 17 and now to under 20.


"When we went to Senegal in 2019 this group of boys were already in camp.


I mean this same group that won the tournament in Egypt we met them in camp in 2019 so why won't they win "


He declared that winning any championship is not an entitlement for any country .


"Nigeria thinks winning is an entitlement without good preparations, because we won it 7 times doesn't guarantee anything".


He however gave kudos to coach Ladan Bosso for making the nation proud despite the little resources given to him. 


"I congratulates the man, he has tried, the resources are not there and they didn't give him all the backings yet he came up with a result.

Japan Invitational Tournament: Future Eagles to reopen camp in Abuja with 25 players The Future Eagles will resume camping in Abuja on Friday (19/05/2023) ahead of the Dream Cup invitational tournament in Japan. Coach Haruna Ilerika has already extended invitations to 25 players ahead of the tournament. All the invited players have been told to report at the Serob Hotel, Abuja.
