As the Saga between Rivers United FC and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) continues to generate much controversy, the Football House has exonerated itself from any culpability.
Apexmedia2020.blogspot.com investigated the throwback concerning the issue and it was revealed that the brouhaha arises as a result of communication misunderstanding.
According to information coming from the football house, The NFF admitted that CAF rejected the Adokie Amesimeka Stadium in Port Harcourt because the pitch is not playable up to continental standard.
The NFF says it is not its responsibility to assist Rivers United FC financially when the club is not under the sponsorship of the football house.
The FA also stated categorically that they can not directly offer technical support to the team as Rivers United FC have their own coaches and backroom staff.
Rivers United has been advised to approach the NFF formally if they need any technical assistance.
If you recall, the Nigerian Champions have been berating the Nigeria Football Federation for their inability to allow Rivers United to play the group stage of its matches in Port Harcourt.
