Flying Eagles Coach, Ladan Bosso has given the reason why his team did not perform up to full potential at the just concluded AFCON U20 tournament in Egypt.
He told Apexmedia2020.blogspot.com that things went wrong somehow and somewhere before the tournament started.
"After one of our matches in Egypt I had to apologise to Nigerians in one aspect, I said no professional player will join us at the information venue but along the line now a player, Ahmed Abdulah was part of the team in Niger Republic, he was an exceptional player then but after the submission of the 24 man list and he was not part of the list again things started going apart".
He stated further that his team was decimated by the PCMA (Medical reason) and so it was too late to start changing the structure of the team.
"Four of our players were affected by PCMA on Medical ground and so we could not feature them at the tournament."
He revealed further that he also lost seven key players that won the WAFU B tournament in Niger Republic due to accreditation issues.
"The team we took to the WAFU tournament in Nigeria Republic, we lost seven of them because of accreditation and it is not easy for any coach to manage such a situation and things went bad losing our first match and after then picking a world cup ticket".
