Monimitchelle Carpets Dimeji Lawal On AFCON 2024

Monimitchelle Carpets Dimeji Lawal On AFCON 2024

I will totally disagree with Dimeji Lawal. He should have just told the coaches to forget about our elite players and concentrate on our home based good players. African qualifiers games will always be a struggle for our Super Eagles team  because most of our key players invited to the Super Eagles are elite football players that ply their trade day in day out on elite pitches, However, when it comes to the Nations cup proper, we still need these our elite players in the team.

The Cocan23 pitches for AFCON have been specially prepared just for the AFCON. We class them as tournament pitches.

Remember the COCAN 23 was moved from the rainy season in 2023 to the dry season in January 2024 to allow a loam that can be easily used to manage the root zone of the AFCON tournament elite pitches for the COCAN 23.

These tournament pitches are not sustainable pitches for countries that lack simple maintenance culture. Raining season will expose these beautiful tournament pitches.

COCAN 23 will showcase some of the best and elite African players in the AFCON 23 in Cote de ivoire.

Elite players, in particular, expect and require superior quality pitches, which provides a consistent response within a very narrow range of performance parameters, from their interactions with the pitch and ball.

This consistency will help to minimise the potential risk of injury from the natural grass pitch conditions and give perfect ball movement.

In the playing days of our Super legend Dimeji Lawal, the evolution in 21st century pitch technology was not out, so he never played a competitive game on an elite 21st century pitch.

13th African Games:Minister of Sports Development Charges Athletes to Conquer Africa _Says Nigeria is solidly behind them_ The Honourable Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh on Tuesday the 5th of March charged Nigeria’s contingent to the All Africa Games taking place in Ghana to conquer Africa.  Addressing the athletes onboard the aircraft scheduled to take them to Ghana for the tournament shortly before takeoff at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, the Minister assured them that the entire nation was solidly behind them.  He further stated that although some of the athletes may be representing the country for the first time, the tournament affords them the opportunity to make the nation proud. Senator Enoh urged the departing athletes to build on the strong performance of the country in the previous games by posting a strong performance that will ensure that Nigeria emerges the best in Africa. “ Let me remind you that you carry the hopes and as...

NPFL - STARTIMES DEAL: MALLAM SHUAIBU GARA GOMBE MISLEADING THE SPORTS INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA

NPFL - STARTIMES DEAL: MALLAM SHUAIBU GARA GOMBE MISLEADING THE SPORTS INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA My attention is seriously drawn to the fact that Mallam Gara Gombe clearly shows in his recent submission to the Guardian that he has ill interests and it isn't only about fighting for the interest of local football but also trying to show that he deserves to be the one leading Nigerian football through his open statements against the NPFL leadership he referred to as illegitimate in one of his recent releases. Remember, "what is good for the goose is also good for the garner." It is a fact he desires to get to the top of football leadership in Nigeria and he might feel at this point he alone has the monopoly of football administrative knowledge. Wouldn't you expect others to deliberately begin to employ similar tactics to topple your leadership too?  Gara Gombe said; quote: "Because Nigeria is a dumping ground you illegally appoint people to manage a league they know nothi...
