Future Eagles Duo Ink Top Japanese Club deal

Future Eagles Duo Ink  Top Japanese Club deal

The efforts of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) under the leadership of Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau to develop the nation's youth football is yielding dividends as two Future Eagles of Nigeria players, Taiwo and Kehinde Sogelola, have signed a mouth-watering contract with a prominent Japanese club, Esperanza SC situated in the heart of Yokohama.

The twins featured for the Future Eagles of Nigeria at the Dream Cup invitational tournament in Japan in 2023, however it was Taiwo that played in the heart of the defence for the nation's youth team at the  invitational tournament. Esperanza SC has thus acquired the services of both players from the management of M&N FC. The Japanese side however would be taking care of both Taiwo and Kehinde until they turned 18 years old while in Nigeria.

The Sogelola twins are products of M&N FC and they both put pen to paper for their new team following their impressive performance in the NLO Under 19 Youth League in Nigeria.

Despite failing to make it out of the group with their M&N team in Sagamu, Ogun State, the energetic lads secured their move to the Japanese club and were outstanding throughout the entire matches but not enough to see them through to the next round.

The twins are expected to earn a call up to the national under 17 team, the Golden Eaglets, if they keep up the momentum.

Their move seems to be a big achievement for the management of the Samurai Boys under the watch of Bolarinwa Obalola Kobayashi as he continues to work around the clock to ensure that there is a soft landing for players at the grassroots.

Kobayashi is a seasoned youth football team coach with many years of experience.

States Football Associations Should Adopt the Ekiti FA Model - Dr. Babatunde 'Tee' Akinbinu

Akinkunle Bolarinwa  Executive Board Member of the Ondo State Football Association, Dr. Babatunde 'Tee' Akinbinu has advised State Football Associations Chairmen in Nigeria to borrow the template for football development exemplified by Ekiti State Football Association in the last three and half years. "The reason why Ekiti State FA works and looks so beautiful is because Mr Bayo Lanlege the Ekiti FA chairman threw his hat in the ring and is leading from the front on matters of football development in Ekiti State without any subvention funding from the Government of Ekiti State." The sagacious Sports Physician asserts that Nigeria needs pragmatic leadership to lead the new path for football development.  "It is a huge irony that I am in Ondo and he is in Ekiti, really. If we had 30 State FA Chairmen in Nigeria like Mr Lanlege of the Ekiti State FA, out of the 37 State FA Chairmen we have in Nigeria, we would NOT be talking about bad governance in football admini...
