NNL Super 8: Sporting Supreme Poised for Promotion, Says Shuaibu Yakubu

Shuaibu Yakubu, the General Manager of Sporting Supreme Football Club, is confident that the beloved team from Abuja will secure promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Speaking ahead of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 promotional play-offs in Enugu this weekend, Yakubu emphasized his team's readiness. He specifically mentioned the upcoming match against Sokoto United, noting that his squad is prepared to demonstrate their prowess in the second game of the play-offs.

The experienced football manager firmly believes Sporting Supreme has what it takes to ascend to the elite division this season. “We are in good shape and the boys are ready. We have already achieved our first goal by qualifying for the play-offs. Now, our main target is to win promotion to the NPFL," Yakubu stated.

Reflecting on the team's journey so far, Yakubu is optimistic about their chances. “Our aim as a team is to win promotion to the NPFL, and that mandate hasn't changed," he reiterated.

Yakubu, who previously coordinated the Future Eagles of Nigeria, affirmed that the team is in Enugu with a clear mission. “This is our opportunity to restore the capital city to the elite football division, and we are calling on our fans and supporters to back us from start to finish,” he added.

NPFL - STARTIMES DEAL: MALLAM SHUAIBU GARA GOMBE MISLEADING THE SPORTS INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA

NPFL - STARTIMES DEAL: MALLAM SHUAIBU GARA GOMBE MISLEADING THE SPORTS INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA My attention is seriously drawn to the fact that Mallam Gara Gombe clearly shows in his recent submission to the Guardian that he has ill interests and it isn't only about fighting for the interest of local football but also trying to show that he deserves to be the one leading Nigerian football through his open statements against the NPFL leadership he referred to as illegitimate in one of his recent releases. Remember, "what is good for the goose is also good for the garner." It is a fact he desires to get to the top of football leadership in Nigeria and he might feel at this point he alone has the monopoly of football administrative knowledge. Wouldn't you expect others to deliberately begin to employ similar tactics to topple your leadership too?  Gara Gombe said; quote: "Because Nigeria is a dumping ground you illegally appoint people to manage a league they know nothi...
