Karma Comes Back To Haunt Nigerian Football - Says Mahmud Sanusi Mohammed

Akinkunle Bolarinwa

Just when you think that all the evil that has happened in Nigeria football has run its due course, you suddenly realise that there is plenty more out there.

The poor performances churned out by the nation's national teams has become a major source of concern for football lovers across the country and the chairman of Taraba state football Association Mallam Mahmud Sanusi Mohammed believes it is Karma at work.

Speaking exclusively with Apexmedia2020.blogspot.com the erudite football administrator says Nigerian football has not earned good 'karma' for its hard work over the last two years.

"Lots of complaints about our football and this has to do with karma and we need to purge ourselves before we can get favourable results".

According to him, there is strong belief that all the good and bad things done by football administrators affect how good or bad the future that country's football will be.

"There is strong Karma in football because when you treat someone that is loyal to you and who has suffered on your behalf badly then no one should expect any progress".

Mahmud opined that every negative action of the country’s football leaders it's seen as bringing upon themselves inevitable results, good or bad.

"As a leader you have to treat people right and give them their mandates instead of disenfranchising them, of course you can't expect different results from what you sow".

Mallam Mahmud is of the opinion that the spate of bad results in the nation's football exposes the guilt of the local football body.

"Nigerians don't pray for this kind of results, this is not what we bargain for and it is frustrating and demoralising".

He queried why Nigeria Football should go down to sheol, to the realm of the dead in the company of the deadbeat leaders and their likes in the football political firmament.

"All the things that some of them are doing is hurting the football process and undermining the proper football development simply because they are having their way"

Mahmud philosophically stated that time is such a mystery in football and it does not fret nor hide because it is inexorable.

"And then you think that you have seen the very worst in our politicians and are convinced that their malevolence and greed have reached their peak and can only diminish".

Edo Government Bails Bendel Insurance FC Out With A Rickety Bus. Bendel Insurance players and officials may soon be trekking to Training and  match venues if the issue of transportation is not sorted out before the start of next league stanza. The team's bus has been abandoned due to serious engine problems, however the state government just gave them another rickety bus from the government house and they are on their way to the match training and home games.  With danger locking around every road within the country, it is saddening seeing the rickety buses that some football teams acquired to ferry their players and officials to and fro match venues. Bendel Insurance is in dire need of a new team bus and the state government must act urgently. You will recall that the team has been suffering from the "smoke and move" bus that has recently packed up due to engine failure. The issue of good means of transportation has greatly affected the team's performances in the NPF
