The President of the Nigeria Cricket Federation, Uyi Akpata says everything is well set for the competition to be hosted in Lagos from March 19th- 26th. Nigeria's under 18 male handball team are presently in an intensive camp in Lagos in preparation for the IHF Inter-continental Championship which will be held in Costa Rica. The IHF Trophy intercontinental 2023 will hold in San Jose, Costa Rica from March 6 to 11, 2023 and it will be the 5th edition of the championship organised by the International Handball Federation (IHF) Nigeria, who are the Africa champions in the under 18 male category, are participating in the championship for the second time in history after they finished second in the 2019 edition which was held in Pristina, Kosovo with Nigeria losing slimy to Chinese Taipei 27-26 in the final. Akinkunle Bolarinwa  Some members of the Bauchi State Football Congress  has raised the alarm over an alleged fresh plot to remove Patrick Pascal as the Chairman of the state football association in a bid to undermine the soon coming FA election in the state. The Congress men made the allegation known to Apexmedia2020.blogspot.com in Abuja. They said the Congress has also uncovered fresh plots to import some mercenaries to activate their wicked enterprise.  They alleged that the plot was being spearheaded by four top members of the FA board who have refused to cooperate with Patrick Pascal. Bauchi State FA is one of the dominant football association in the North East of the county.  The state boasts of the highest grassroots programmes in the zone.

Akinkunle Bolarinwa  The Flying Eagles of Nigeria restored their world cup ambition with an emphatic one nil win over host nation, Egypt.  The Flying Eagles victory against much determined Egyptians didn't come easy as it took 70th minutes for Nigeria to score via a header through Solomon Agbalaka. The tension soaked match was a must win encounter for both countries, however it was Nigeria that got the bragging rights at the end of the day. Senegal's victory against Mozambique automatically takes them to the top of the table while Nigeria is placed second. Against all odds, The Super Falcons gave their best to grind the result and restore their pride. Previously in two games, the ladies put up good performances but they were unable to conquer as the team leaves the Revelation tournament in Mexico with just a victory after three games.
